'Rocket League' News: Devs Detail What's Happening With Player Banners in Season 5

Different types of Player Banners are offered as rewards

Season 5 of "Rocket League" is finally here and there are many things for players to check out, including Player Banners.

Player Banners do not really impact gameplay, but what they can do is allow a player to show off just how well he/she has been performing.

Devs revealed that the new banners can also be customized, with players being allowed to choose the color for some of them.

As players go through Season 5, they will likely be given some new Reward Player Banners.

There are two types of Player Banners that will be given to players depending on which Reward Level they unlock, according to a recent post on the game's official website.

The first Reward Banner type is the "Standard" version. "Standard" banners fit in well with the overall aesthetic of "Rocket League." The icons and colors used for the "Standard" banners change as players move up in Reward Levels.

If players want to spice, or rather, heat things up a little, they can then opt to use the dragon-themed Reward Banners instead. Similar to the "Standard" banners, the icons and colors change too as players continue to make progress.

In total, 14 Player Banners are being offered as rewards in Season 5.

The Bronze "Standard" and "Dragon" banners are the ones players can unlock first and following those of course will be the Silver variants. Moving up another rung means players have unlocked the Gold banners.

Once players progress past the medal levels, they can then obtain Platinum and Diamond banners. Champion banners are handed out after the Platinum and Diamond ones, and finally, the Grand Champion banners will be given to those who make it to the very top.

The "Season 5 Grand Champion" in-game title will be provided along with the Grand Champion banners.

More news about "Rocket League" should be made available soon.
