'Rocket League' 'Dropshot' Game Mode, Easter-Themed Items Now Accessible in the Game

New Core 707 arena also added to 'Rocket League' together with the 'Dropshot' game mode

"Rocket League" players now have some new features to try out in the form of an all-new game mode as well as some cosmetic items.

Starting with the new game mode, in "Dropshot," players will still be focused on scoring goals, but they won't be doing it in the way that they may have gotten accustomed to.

As developers detailed in a recent post on the game's official website, "Dropshot" requires players to do a bit extra as they will first need to use the new mode-specific ball to destroy the floor panels and then hit shots through those gaps that are opened up.

Players will need to keep track of which phase the ball is in while playing "Dropshot" as doing so can provide them with advantages that could help lead to victories. The ball can be in three phases over the course of playing in this mode, and these phases directly affect just how damage they can do to the floor panels.

Speaking of Damage, players will also notice that this statistic is being tallied in "Dropshot," so that gives them one more way to compete with their friends.

Along with the new game mode, the Core 707 arena has also been added to "Rocket League" to host those "Dropshot" contests.

"Dropshot" is available for free to all players.

Also new to the game are some additional cosmetic items that are ideal for this time of the year.

Detailed in a separate post on the game's official website, players can now obtain special Easter-themed items.

There's a new Easter Egg Antenna available, along with a Bunny Ears Topper and the Easter Basket Topper.

The new Easter-themed items will be ones players can receive as post-match drops after taking part in Playlist matches. Players can work on collecting these new cosmetic items until April 17.

More news about "Rocket League" should be made available in the near future.
