Romney Pumping Gas in La Jolla; Photo Goes Viral

A photo of Mitt Romney pumping his own gas has made the rounds on the internet due to his latest, disheveled look.

Mitt Romney was spotted pumping his own gas at a station in La Jolla, California, sparking some to comment on the former presidential candidate's messy look.

"Mitt Romney at my local gas station," Reddit user mkb95, who uploaded the photo, wrote. "He looks tired and washed up."

Others added that the look suggested Romney was now undergoing a bit of a reality check after a tiring run for president. Romney and his wife Ann were also spotted earlier this month attending a prescreening of "Breaking Dawn: Part 2." Afterwards the couple went for a slice of pizza, ending what appeared to be an typical date.

"Going to public movies!!! Pumping gas!! Hair slightly frazzled! Welcome to the real world," one user commented on a Yahoo blog.

Romney has suggested that he will be spending more time with his family now that the election is over. He and his wife own a $12 million ocean front home in La Jolla, San Diego where they will likely move while adjusting to their new "civilian life" again, according to Mail Online.

But even after losing the election, Romney has still been in the hot seat with his Republican party for suggesting after the race that President Obama had won by giving gifts.

"The president's campaign, if you will, focused on giving targeted groups a big gift," Romney said in a call to donors last Wednesday. "He made a big effort on small things."

During the same interview Romney added that he and his campaign team were trying to look to the future "but, frankly, we're still so troubled by the past, it's hard to put together our plans for the future."
