Ruffalo- Affleck Ended My Friendship with Jennifer Garner (VIDEO)
Mark Ruffalo is pointing the finger of blame over his broken friendship with former co-star Jennifer Garner this week.
Ruffalo and Garner portrayed best friends-turned-lovers in 2004's "13 Going on 30," and on Thursday, Ruffalo stopped by "Watch What Happens Live" to discuss his interaction with the actress post-production.
"We had a great time together," the actor said. "But then Ben [Affleck] came on the scene."
In response, "Watch What Happens Live" host Andy Cohen joked, "I heard he doesn't allow her to have male friends?"
Without laughing, Ruffalo shrugged and said he could not confirm or deny the reason that his friendship with Garner ended. Nevertheless, Garner and Affleck began dating in mid-2004 after co-starring in "Daredevil" together. The pair got engaged on Garner's 33rd birthday and married during a private ceremony in Turks and Caicos on June 29, 2005. Today, Garner and Affleck share three children.
Alternately, Ruffalo has been married to French-American actress Sunrise Coigney since 2000. They share three children together.
Also during the "Watch What Happens Live" appearance, Ruffalo's "Begin Again" co-star Keira Knightley was quizzed on photos of Ruffalo that resembled the show's host.
Meanwhile, Garner and Affleck just marked their ninth wedding anniversary over the weekend with a trip to Garner's hometown of Charleston, West Virginia. The actress spent time with her parents and sister as well her three children, Violet; 8, Seraphina; 5, and Samuel; 2, before flying solo to see Affleck who is filming "Batman" in Detroit.
Despite recent reports that Affleck's gambling is causing a problem in his marriage, a source close to Garner said the pair is stronger than ever.
"She never understood the gambling obsession and she doesn't want him to be in the news [for it]," the insider told People.com. "[But] she's the most patient wife ever and is still very much in love with Ben."
