"They're really excited and really supportive. My dad and my mom and my sisters were really excited for me and were asking me about rehearsals and I just told them how excited I was. It's nice to have their support." Willis told Fox News during an interview.

Willis said she has always wanted to dance and couldn't pass up the opportunity to receive expert instruction from a professional and dance to some of her favorite tunes in front of her friends and an appreciative audience.

She has also revealed her wish to become physically stronger and learn how to carry her body through the medium of dance, standing up straighter and not looking at the ground.

"It really changes how people look at you," she admitted to Fox.

She has urged her parents and sister to attend the show, pointing out her mother Demi has always been interested in dancing, even once starring as an exotic performer in the 1996 film, "Striptease," where Willis had a small role as Demi's daughter.

Willis, who has been acting in movies and television starting with "Now and Then" in 1995, will be partnering with Ukrainian "DWTS" professional dancer, Val Chmerkovskiy. The pair will be dancing the foxtrot to "Take Me to the Church," a hit song by Irish artist, Hozier, when the season opens with the premieres today on ABC.
