Russell Brand Dating Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell?

Russell Brand is playing the field after divorcing Katy Perry. The actor has been linked to model Isabella Brewster but reportedly dumped her after meeting and falling for former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell.

The latest pairing comes after Brand met the Spice Girls at the London Olympics. He was immediately smitten with Halliwell, and the two have been seen on several dates, including one public outing with Halliwell and her daughter, Bluebell Madonna.

"Things are getting very serious between them- they're a proper couple now," a friend told The Sun. "They had met several times in the past but really got to know each other during the Olympics. People thought Russell was joking at the time, when he said he had a crush on Geri all over again, but it was true."

One thing the couple has in common is a dedication to sobriety and healthy living. Brand gave up drinking and drugs over 10 years ago and has been a staunch advocate for addicts, even testifying before the British House of Parliament about the proper method of helping addicts.

Halliwell has sworn off alcohol and sugary foods in order to remain healthy.

"I can't restrict myself, but I do try to abstain from sugar. That's my thing- if I have one little bit, it's a trigger. I'm addicted to it. And sugar is aging. Without it, my skin is better. Alcohol is full of sugar. Besides, if I'm going to find the balance of being a mum and having a social life, I just can't put a hangover in there," she told Hello magazine.

Last year, Halliwell went through a separation of her own from Henry Beckwith. She had complained about his partying habits and was determined to make a fresh, clean life for herself and daughter Bluebell.
