As "Bulloch Family Ranch" picks up for the second season, Rusty and Julie are back to their regular lives of taking in children who need them and spending plenty of time with their family. The Bullochs recently visited New York and took time to speak with The Christian Post about the new season and how love is what keeps their family together during the trying times.

As viewers may know, Rusty and Julie have been married for 26 years and have two biological children and numerous "Ranch kids" that they have taken in over the years. Three "Ranch kids" currently stay with the Bullochs, and bringing one of those children to the ranch caused a great stir among the family.

When asked why she would make the decision to offer an invitation to Ciara, one of the "Ranch kids," without consulting her family, as is Bulloch family protocol, Julie responded that it was just one of those moments where "you know the right thing to do in that moment, so you just do it."

"I feel these kids' pain," she added, tearing up. "Some of them are really bad off, and I can just feel that. In that moment, with Ciara, I just knew she needed to be with us. She needed stability, so I spoke without even giving it a second thought."

"The result would have been the same," husband Rusty said, "if she had come home and talked to us about it. But it was a bit of a surprise – to go from having all men in the home and now having a teenage girl and her daughter – it was an adjustment."

But Rusty and Julie have a marriage built on Christian faith and trust and welcomed Ciara and her daughter into their home.

"God put her on our path," Rusty said. "And God has never let us down."

"Bulloch Family Ranch" airs Wednesday nights on UPtv.
