Ryan Murphy Twitter Debut: Insider Info Leaked on Glee, The New Normal

Ryan Murphy has made his Twitter debut to the delight of fans, and he immediately posted a flood of information about upcoming projects. Tri-network TV executive producer Murphy seems to be a natural at the social networking website, and is sure to build up millions of followers quickly.

In a matter of hours following making his Twitter debut Murphy had posted information on hit TV show "Glee," the highly popular FX program "American Horror Story" as well as NBC's upcoming "The New Normal."

Murphy created his new Twitter account on Monday, using the name "MrRPMurphy." That creation sparked a wave of postings over the next 24 hours, where he gave updates on each of his new series.

Among his tweets he revealed that Murphy's three favorite "Glee" episodes are "Preggers," "The Substitute" and "Nationals."

He also tweeted about Sarah Jessica Parker, informing that Anna Wintour is helping to select SJP's wardrobe during her guest appearance.

Murphy also revealed that his more eagerly awaited episode of season 4 is the one called "The Break UP," so that may be one episode fans choose not to miss.

Murphy is best known for creating and co-creating the television series "Popular," "Nip/Tuck," "Glee," and "American Horror Story." He is from an Irish Catholic family and attended a Catholic school from first through eighth grade.

Interestingly Murphy in fact started his career as a journalist and has worked for a string of publications including The Miami Herald, The Los Angeles Times, New York Daily News, Knoxville News Sentinel and Entertainment Weekly.

It was not until the late 1990s when he began scriptwriting. His shift in focus came when Steven Spielberg purchased his script, "Why Can't I Be Audrey Hepburn?"
