Ryan Reynolds to Star in 'Deadpool' Movie
Ryan Reynolds is in final negotiations to play the masked mercenary Wade Wilson, also known as Deadpool, in a feature film, according to reports.
Reynolds gave a strong hint about playing the character on Thursday, Dec. 4, at roughly the same time that Deadline announced his casting with the 20th Century Fox film.
The actor took to Twitter and posted an image of the character's iconic cowl and captioned it, "Uh…It's Chimichanga time!"

Fans are familiar with this expression as "Chimichanga" is Deadpool's favorite word, though in the comics, the character has a preference for tacos.
In the comics, the character started out as Wade Wilson, a man battling with cancer who underwent experimental treatments that made him invincible and gave him the ability to regenerate his health quickly.
This is not the first time that Reynolds will be suiting up to play the superhero. In 2009, he played the role opposite Hugh Jackman in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine." In the movie, Deadpool became a mute with swords for arms, but that version won't likely continue in the upcoming film.
Though no actual footage from the film exists as of the moment, audiences were able to catch a glimpse of Deadpool in a leaked concept footage last summer. Created by director Tim Miller back in 2012 as a pitch to make the film, the teaser showed Deadpool jumping into a car full of bad guys and killing them. According to Screenrant, at the time of the leak, Reynolds said that the fan reaction convinced him and Miller that they were on right track with regards to the script and how Deadpool should be portrayed.
"Deadpool" is slated to be released on Feb. 12, 2016.
