Dancing With the Stars 2014: Sadie Robertson Comments Misinterpreted, Phil Robertson Not Hospitalized

Sadie Robertson from the American reality television series "Duck Dynasty" was partnered with Mark Ballas for "Dancing With the Stars." Their assigned dance was the cha-cha and her performance during the episode stunned both the judges and the audience.

"Duckling no more! Here we have a bird of paradise," said one of the judges Bruno Tonioli. Another judge, Carrie Ann Inaba, added, "You're a star, honey. You don't even know it yet." Sadie's parents, Willie and Korie Robertson, were present in the audience to watch the young Robertson perform her first dance.

There were rumors about the Robertson family's patriarch Phil Robertson not being able to attend Sadie's performance due to his hospitalization. A family representative was quick to dismiss the rumors, stating that Phil was in perfect health.

"Phil Robertson is in great health and has not been hospitalized this week," the representative told The Blaze.

The rumors first circulated when Sadie -- after her performance at "Dancing With the Stars" -- told reporters that her "grandpa ... had to go to the hospital." Apparently, there was some confusion as to which grandparent Sadie was referring to. Turns out, the 17-year old model was referring to her maternal grandfather John Howard.

"When Sadie mentioned her grandfather earlier this week, she was referring to her maternal grandfather, who we are happy to report is now home and in good health," the family publicist had stated.

John Howard was reportedly admitted to a hospital in Los Angeles after experiencing stomach problems.

"Dancing with the Stars" began airing on the ABC channel Sept. 15 earlier this week and one couple has already been eliminated from the competition.
