Sage Stallone Autopsy Underway Today (Details)
An autopsy of the body of Sage Stallone, son of Sylvester Stallone and Sasha Czack, reportedly underway by the Los Angeles County Coroner, according to TMZ. The examination is expected to be completed Sunday.
Stallone, 36, was found dead Friday at his home in Los Angeles, in what is reported to be an apparent overdose of pills. The coroner's office said that several bottles of prescription drugs were recovered at Sage's home but did not specify how many or whether they played a role in his death.
No suicide note was found. Both law enforcement officials and Sage's attorney say they believe that his death was accidental and not a suicide.

An autopsy of Sage will involve a thorough examination of his body to evaluate disease or injury that may be present and to determine the cause and manner of hid death. It will most likely be performed by a forensic pathologist who will examine his physical organs and look for natural causes of disease and death.
However, toxicology tests for Sage, which examine the blood and body's tissues for toxins and drugs, will take several weeks. The exact cause of death for Sage Stallone won't be announced until toxicology test results are announced, as was the case in singer Whitney Houston's death.
In Sage's death, there were no signs of foul play or trauma, officials said. Sage was found by a maid. Police checked his house after friends reported that he didn't respond to calls for several days.
There have been some inconsistencies with details surrounding Sage's death. Photos were posted to his Facebook page just 17 hours before he was found dead but law enforcement officials have said he had been dead for three days before his body was discovered.
His father Sylvester is said to be "devastated," according to statement from his publicist.
Sage Moonblood Stallone was the oldest of two sons of Sylvester Stallone and Sasha Czack. He acted with his father in two movies, "Rocky V" and "Daylight."
In recent years, Sage Stallone directed his first short film "Vic," which was shown at the 2006 California Film Festival in Palm Springs.
