Sage Stallone Dead: Was Death a Suicide or Accidental Overdose? (Details)
After Sage Stallone, son of actor Sylvester Stallone, was found dead Friday at his home in Los Angeles, investigators are looking into whether the death of the 36-year-old was intentional (meaning he committed suicide) or accidental.
No suicide note was found but prescription bottles were recovered from Sage Stallone's home, said Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter. He did not say what kind of what type of medication pill bottles were found, how many were there, and whether they played a role in his death.

TMZ reported the "numerous empty pill bottles" were discovered by officials in the area of Sage's body. Sources told TMZ that the apparent cause of death was an overdose of pills.
"Rocky" actor Sylvestor Stallone is devastated over his son's death, according to his publicist.
"Sylvester Stallone is devastated and grief-stricken over the sudden loss of his son," publicist Michelle Bega said in a statement. "His compassion and thoughts are with Sage's mother, Sasha."
An autopsy of Sage's body is scheduled to take place over the weekend. Toxicology test results, which will reveal the cause of death, won't be available for several weeks.
Police found his body at 2:15 p.m. after an acquaintance reported that he was unable to reach Sage. There were no signs of foul play or trauma, officials said.
Sage's lawyer George Braunstein said Sage's body was first discovered by a housekeeper after friends couldn't get a hold of him.
Braunstein told The Associated Press that he believes Sage's death was "some sort of accident."
Sage was reportedly in "good spirits," was engaged to be married, and busy with several films at the time of his death.
"He was in good spirits, and working on all kinds of projects," Braunstein told the The New York Post. "He was planning on getting married. I am just devastated. He was an extremely wonderful, loving guy. This is a tragedy."
Sage Moonblood Stallone was the oldest of two sons of Sylvester Stallone and Sasha Czack. He acted with his father in two movies, "Rocky V" and "Daylight."
In 1996, he and film editor Bob Murawski, co-founded Grindhouse Releasing, a Los Angeles based company dedicated to the restoration and preservation of exploitation films.
In recent years, Sage Stallone directed his first short film "Vic," which was shown at the 2006 California Film Festival in Palm Springs.
"Sage was a very talented and wonderful young man, his loss will be felt forever," Bega said.
Sylvester Stallone was at Comic-Con in San Diego Thursday to promote "Expendables 2," his new film with his co-star Arnold Schwarzenegger. It was unclear whether he is still at the convention or has returned to Los Angeles.
