Salem Web Network Acquires ChurchStaffing.com

A subsidiary of Salem Communications Corporation announced last week that it has acquired a preeminent source of online job search information for church professionals.

Salem Web Network, a subsidiary of Salem Communications Corporation, announced last week that it has acquired ChurchStaffing.com, a preeminent source of online job search information for church professionals.

ChurchStaffing.com is the latest internet addition to Salem Communications Corporation – the leading radio broadcaster of Christian and family-focused programming in the United States. Salem Web Network made the announcement late last week on Jan. 5.

ChurchStaffing.com joins ChristianJobs.com on Salem’s list of websites that cater to Christian job seekers in Christian-friendly companies and organizations.

According to Rick Killingsworth, vice president of Salem Web Network, ChurchStaffing.com will enhance Salem’s presence as the “leader in the Christian space as well as being immediately accretive to earnings.”

"ChurchStaffing.com is a full-featured website focusing on employment within the Church community,” Killingsworth said in a public announcement made by the company. “It is an excellent addition to our growing portfolio of sites serving faith-based and family-friendly consumers and businesses. The website's revenues have been growing in excess of 25% each year with more than 800 current job listings and 9,000 active resumes."

In addition to ChristianJobs.com, Salem owns Christianity.com, Crosswalk.com, SermonSearch.com, CrossCards.com, TheFish.com, and OnePlace.com – the largest internet source of audio ministry program streaming. The company claims to be the number one online web destination for Christian content.

After closing all of its transactions, Salem communications will own 105 radio stations, including 66 stations in 24 of the 25 top markets. In addition to its radio properties, Salem owns Salem Radio Network, which syndicates talk, news and music programming to about 1,900 affiliates.
