Samsung Galaxy Golden 3 Update: Listed in FCC After TENAA, Features 2,000 mAh Battery 13 MP Camera

Samsung is cooking up something for its fans and it carries the codename SM-W2016 or better known as the Galaxy Golden 3. According to NDTV Gadgets, the device surfaced in GFXBench last month. Just recently, it was listed and certified by TENAA. And now, a report from GSM Arena revealed that the alleged smartphone has cleared the FCC hurdle as well.

The FCC listing did not include photos of the rumored handset but it did release a screenshot of the handset's settings which revealed that the Galaxy Golden 3 will come with 2000 mAh battery pack. It has been revealed by TENAA also that the device will feature two 3.9-inch HD (768x1280 pixels) resolution displays. But it's opposed to the results from GFXBench which indicated that it will have a 4.6-inch HD display.

As detailed in Android Community, the third installment of the series is just like the two previous versions, which means it is going to be another classic flip phone. It is said that it will have the high-end chipset Exynos 7 SoC and Mali-T760MP8 GPU with 3 GB of RAM. It will have an internal storage of 64 GB but it will not be expandable though, a feature that Samsung has eradicated from their devices lately.

In terms of the camera, the Galaxy Golden 3 is said to sport a 16-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front snapper. To run with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box, the device is said to weigh 204 grams with measurements of 120.4 × 61 × 15.1mm. It's noted to be 0.7 mm slimmer compared to its predecessor. As for the price, the handset is expected to carry a price tag of $400 as it was spotted listed on Zauba. The only available color that it is expected to come is gold.

Realty Today stated that going for a flip phone technology device is a risky move for Samsung. But it's not so bad since the smartphone they are bringing in comes with impressive phone specs. It's really just a matter of preference.
