Samsung Galaxy Nexus Release Date: Promo Reveals Impressive Features (VIDEO)
Samsung has released a promo video for its recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy Nexus, which will run on the new Android OS, Ice Cream Sandwich.
The promo begins with four primary colored Android aliens racing toward each other on motorcycles and poses the statement, "Calling all speed demons."
Describing the Galaxy Nexus as, "Simple. Beautiful. Beyond Smart," the promo begins to list the smartphones repertoire of impressive specs, including its elegant and rich notifications and recent apps and multi-tasking capabilities.
Listing its "connect and share" features, it details Face Unlock and Google+ with Hangouts & Messenger.
Listing its "beyond smart" features, it details the live effects for the single-motion panoramic camera, the quick responses mechanism for phone calls, the data usage application and the phone-to-phone sharing mechanism, Android beam.
"Galaxy Nexus is the next generation of Nexus devices co-developed by Samsung and Google. Nexus combines innovative hardware with the newest version of Android, 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, and the latest Google mobile services," Samsung said as the video's caption.
The Galaxy Nexus is expected to release in November on Japan's NTT DoCoMo network and on the Verizon Wireless network in the U.S.
Tech website Clove.co.uk has confirmed with Samsung that the phone will release on Nov. 17 in the U.K., but no specific network has been revealed.
The Galaxy Nexus' basic specs include a 1.2 GHz Dual Core Processor, a 4.65" 1280X720 HD Super AMOLED display, 1GB(RAM) and 16GB/ 32GB Internal memory, LTE and HSPA+ networks, Bluetooth connectivity, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi and NFC as well as Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

The Galaxy Nexus is expected to sell for $299 with a two-year contract on the Verizon Wireless network.
Clove.co.uk suggests that the unlocked Galaxy Nexus will sell for £515 or $818.
