Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Dual-SIM Model to be Released

Samsung is releasing a dual-SIM version of the Galaxy Note 2 in China.

This device will feature the same 5.5-inch display and specs, however, it will allow users to use regular sized SIM cards or micro SIM cards as both slots can be seen in a picture of the smartphone-tablet hybrid.

The Chinese version features the specifications from the International version.

The dual-SIM model will arrive on China Unicom and pricing and availability have not been announced yet.

The Galaxy Note 2 will also be available on Sprint in the U.S.

Phandroid.com is reporting that an XDA user found a Sprint RDF otherwise known as a device profile that matches up to the specs on the Galaxy Note 2. There also is said to be further confirmation out there for the device coming to the carrier.

The specs in the profile included an Exynos4412 processor, a 5.5-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, Android 4.1.1, JellyBean, support for EVDO, DOrA, Wi-Fi, LTE, and 2GB RAM.

Specifications on the Galaxy Note 2 include a quad-core 1.6 GHz processor, 16GB/32GB/64GB of internal memory, Android 4.1, JellyBean, and 2GB RAM. Both lists seem to be pretty close, so there is a good chance that Sprint could be testing its very own version of the device at this time.

Pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 2 are already being offered in India.

An online retailer known as Infibeam has begun selling pre-orders for the Note 2 for 38,500 INR, which is equivalent to $694. The retailer also stated that the device will be available on Sept. 22. It is expected to launch in October in the U.S.
