Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Unveiling Confirmed for Aug. 29
A Samsung representative recently confirmed that the Galaxy Note 2 will be unveiled at an "Unpacked" event at the end of August.
"We plan to unveil the next Galaxy Note at the Samsung Mobile Unpacked event in Berlin on Aug. 29," said a spokesperson for the company to Reuters.
The event is Samsung's second of the year and it will take place in Berlin at 7 p.m. local time just two days before IFA officially kicks off.

Along with the new Galaxy Note, Samsung is also expected to unveil the Galaxy Tab 11.8 at the event. Both devices are expected to make a splash and carry the company into this year's Christmas shopping season.
With the Galaxy Note 2 on the way and the staying power of the Samsung Galaxy S3, this holiday shopping season should be quite interesting since customers have such a wide selection of quality devices to choose from.
The Galaxy Note 2 is rumored to feature a 5.5-inch unbreakable display along with a faster processor and more powerful camera. The company appears to be pitting the device directly against Apple's iPhone 5 and iPad Mini that are expected to launch around the same time.
