Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Unlocked Version Available for Pre-Order at Best Buy, Price Set for $999.99
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 unlocked version is now available for pre-order through Best Buy.
The retailer will officially begin carrying the handset on Sept. 19, according to a few screenshots leaked by Sam Mobile.
The screenshots also reveal that the unlocked 32GB version will cost $999.99. This could end up being just a tentative price until the actual launch. The unlocked model will not come with LTE and will pack the Exynos 5 Octa-core chip.
The device has already been made available on several carriers on contract including AT&T and T-Mobile. Pre-orders for the T-Mobile version will start tomorrow.
The carrier sent out a press release yesterday announcing that customers will be able to reserve the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear smartwatch starting this Wednesday.
T-Mobile will offer the phablet for $199.99 down with 24 equal monthly device payments of $21.
Samsung's JK Shin recently made some bold predictions regarding the Galaxy Note 3 release.
He disclosed a special meeting with the press recently where he announced that they have sold 38 million Galaxy Notes to date, which includes the first and second versions.
Shin also made the bold claim that "Over 10 million Galaxy Note 3 [units] will be sold."
He recently unveiled the new device at Samsung's "Unpacked" Episode 2 event that took place in Berlin last week.
The new phablet will be available starting Sept. 25. Spec and features on the device include improved LTE connectivity, a 2.3GHz quad-core processor, a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, Android 4.3, JellyBean, a 13-megapixel rear camera, LED Flash, a 2-megapixel front shooter, dual camera capabilities, and a redesigned version of the S Pen.
