Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus Teaser Image Shows Mysterious Tablet
An image has emerged showing the soon-to-be-launched Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus, including what appears to be a mystery tablet.
Samsung plans to launch its upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus on Aug. 13 alongside a new tablet which appeared in a teaser image recently posted online.
The South Korean smartphone manufacturer plans to unveil the three devices at their Samsung Unpacked event scheduled for Thursday next week, with the surprise tablet along for a ride.
Samsung Philippines' website announced the launch with the black and white silhouette teaser image, together with a countdown to the day of the Unpacked event. The silhouette features three sleek devices, two that are similar-sized, assumed to be the Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus, and a much larger 8-inch tablet-sized device.
The mysterious tablet, which has remained unnamed, appears to have a slight curvature on its left side, which may be its curved glass rear. Speculations are rife the tablet may be a premium version of the Samsung Tab S2, with the possibility of a curved edge display to set itself apart from its competitors in the tablet market.
The Galaxy Note 5 will include an S Pen secured on its side with a metal panel, and display a 5.7-inch QHD 1440 x 2560 screen. It will come with 4GB of RAM, and internal storage options of 32 GB, 64GB and 128GB. Powered by an Exynos 7429 2.1Ghz processor, it will include a 16MP rear camera, a 5MP front shooter, and Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box supported by a non-removable 3,000mAh battery.
The Galaxy S6 Edge Plus's 5.5-inch dual-edge display will cover an octa-core Exynos 7420 processor, 4GB of RAM, a Mali T-760 GPU, a 16MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera, all running on Android 5.1.1.
No announcement has yet been made as to the tablet, but it is expected to be unveiled during the Unpacked event on Aug. 13.
