Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 LTE Model Confirmed For Release on AT&T
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 LTE model will be released through AT&T.
The carrier made the announcement that it would begin offering the device on its website earlier this week. Users will be able to purchase the Galaxy Note 8.0 with LTE "in the coming week," according to the site.
AT&T did not announce pricing information or the launch of the tablet in any additional colors. The device will initially be released in white with a Brown Black variant expected to hit the market sometime in July.
AT&T also posted a video that shows off the Galaxy Note 8's most impressive features.
The tablet was launched by Samsung earlier this year to compete with Apple's wildly successful iPad Mini, which is around the same size. One of the main selling points of the Galaxy Note 8 is its S Pen stylus accessory, which can also be found on the original Galaxy Note and Note 2. Samsung released custom made applications that work specifically with the S Pen as well.
It sports an 8-inch display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution and 189 ppi. This is a bit higher than Apple's iPad Mini's screen, which has 163 ppi.
Other specifications on the device include a 1.6GHz quad-core A9 processor, 2GB RAM, and special features such as Smart Stay that allows the tablet to recognize if the owner is still awake. This will make it automatically go on standby once the owner falls asleep or stops using it. It is said to be seamless and very responsive.
The device was rumored to be launching in even more colors for quite some time, with pictures leaking showing them off. However, Samsung still has not confirmed their launch.
