Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Specs Rumors: Leaked Schematics Reveal 4K Super AMOLED 6.4-Inch Screen
A recently leaked schematic design reportedly for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 suggests that the upcoming phablet will sport an super active matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) display with 4K resolution on a 6.4-inch screen.

The schematics was recently shared by Slash Leaks, and apart from a 4K Super AMOLED specification, it also mentioned that the device might arrive with a quad high-definition plus resolution.

Meanwhile, the 6.4-inch screen size actually makes sense since the anticipated Galaxy S8 Plus screen is rumored to measure up to 6.2 inches. So, there is enough reason for mobile enthusiasts to believe that the next Samsung phablet will also become bigger than the 5.7-inch design from the Galaxy Note 7.
The leak also suggests that the device will be powered by the latest mobile processor from Qualcomm called the Snapdragon 835 that runs with eight cores at 2.4-gigahertz speed.
The leak has also mentioned another possible Samsung processor to be put into the phablet. However, it only said "Exynos 9XXX." Samsung traditionally builds its flagship products with varying processors for different regional markets but these chips are almost at the same power, which is the case for Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895 which are both expected to run in variants of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
While in terms of memory capacity, the same leaked schematic design mentioned that the Galaxy Note 8 is expected to arrive with a pairing of 6 GB random access memory and a 256 GB internal storage. It was not made clear whether there will be other memory specs options.
Other Rumored Specs: Pressure Sensitive Panel; Dual-Lens Camera
In relation to a beefed up screen, earlier reports have it that Samsung might adapt the pressure-sensitive display panels found on Apple mobile devices. Pressure-sensitivity enables the touchscreen panel to recognize a specific command based on the level of force applied when the owners touch the display.
A source reportedly told The Investor that Samsung might adapt the currently manufactured pressure-sensitive screens originally made for iPhones. Their source was quoted in the report as saying, "The latest technology boasts higher sensitivity and a wider range of pressure-sensing levels compared to the previous one used in Huawei's P9 in 2015."
On the other hand, with the amount of photos of Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus that have earlier leaked, it is almost common knowledge that neither of the upcoming smartphone variants will ship with the current trend of dual-lens cameras.
Since last year, several big smartphone brands have introduced the dual camera feature among high-end and mid-range mobile devices. This enables smartphones to capture clearer and more vivid photos with an option of having a more defined depth of field effect.
If Samsung skipped on the said feature for the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, the company is most likely going to reserve that hardware specs for the upcoming phablet.
When Will It Be Released?
As for Galaxy Note 8's release date, some reports believe that August 2017 is a good possibility, considering that the company thinks it is best to get ahead of the new iPhone releases that usually take place in early September.
However, considering the effects of the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, it is still hard to tell if Samsung will choose to maintain their usual schedule since they have promised to take extra measures to ensure that they are releasing a safer product.
