Samsung Galaxy Round 2 Release Date News: To Be Launched at MWC 2015?
When Samsung released its Samsung Galaxy Round two years ago, many were intrigued by its curved body and display, but for the high end market, this seemed more like a novelty than anything else. Now, a new tweet from tech insider @upleaks suggests that the device's successor could make an appearance at MWC 2015. Furthermore, the tweet suggests that the device could be a high end version of its predecessor.
"Samsung new high-end: SM-G930," the tweet read. While there was no mention of the device name, tech sites such as Phone Arena and GizBot predict that this could be the Samsung Galaxy Round 2.
Two handsets from the Korean company are expected to make an appearance at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona — the Samsung Galaxy S6 which Phone Arena predicts to be the SM-G920, and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, which the website guesses to be the SM-G925.
For now, no specs, dimensions, or features have been leaked regarding the device, but it's expected to be better than the original version. The Samsung Galaxy Round has impressive specs, and if that's any indication of what to expect for the phone's successor, then expect to be blown away by the Galaxy Round 2.
The first Galaxy Round has a curved body and screen that measures 5.7 inches and has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad core processor and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. It comes with 32GB internal storage which can be expanded with a microSD card up to 64GB. It's equipped with a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 2MP front shooter.
If there's any truth to the rumors, then the Galaxy Round 2 should make its debut at MWC 2015 on March 1.
