Samsung Galaxy S Duos Release Date Set for September

Samsung will be releasing the new Galaxy S Duos smartphone in Europe next month.

The company sent out a press release explaining the device this week as it will be one of the first handsets to allow users Dual SIM access.

"Samsung's new Android 4.0-powered smartphone is ideal for users who balance fast-paced work and social lifestyles," read the press release. "The GALAXY S DUOS offers all the style and high-end performance users expect from Galaxy smartphones. It also affords the convenience of Dual SIM access, giving the smartphone added communication flexibility."

The smartphone comes equipped with Android 4.0 and is one of Samsung's more high-end devices, making it ideal for users trying to juggle professional and personal lives.

The added Dual SIM capability allows users to manage two separate phone number lists on one phone. The device also has an "Always On" feature that allows users to receive calls from one SIM while taking a call on the other one. Customers may also choose different billing plans on each SIM.

Other specifications on the Galaxy S Duos include a 1GHz processor, a 1500mAh battery, 4GB of internal storage, and Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich and should eventually receive an update to 4.1, JellyBean.

It also features a sleek design with rounded edges and smooth ceramic-like finish, giving it a classy look. It offers some impressive social and entertainment options with its 4-inch display making the video viewing experience more convenient along with reading emails and flicking through photos.

The device also comes with a 5-megapixel camera that can capture video and pictures. The company's ChatON communication service is also available on the handset as it connects all phone users into a single community. The feature makes it simple for Samsung users to message each other and start group chats.
