Samsung Galaxy S2 Ice Cream Sandwich Ready by March 15
March 1 of this year has arrived and there is still no Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich update available for the Samsung Galaxy S2.
Well there's some good news for those anticipating the upgrade.
In a recent post on the Samsung Mobile Israeli Facebook, the company stated that Galaxy S2 owners will receive Ice Cream Sandwich on March 15.

"We promised that we're working on it," read the post. "You waited patiently. On 15 March it comes: the Android version 4, ICS, tens of thousands of device purchased Galaxy S2 cellular companies in the country directly from us. We here are very excited for the launch, hope you enjoy it."
This news seems very convincing, however, one can never be too sure when it comes to the Galaxy S2 and Ice Cream Sandwich.
The post has since been removed making this news somewhat unreliable. And this certainly is not the first time someone has declared that they knew the official launch date for the upgrade.
Industry insider Eldar Murtazin took to his Twitter account last month and stated that Samsung would start rolling out the upgrades on March 1. Well, March 1 came with no sign of any ICS updates.
Samsung actually made announcement back in Dec. that Ice Cream Sandwich would be coming to some of its most popular devices including the Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note by the end of the first quarter of 2012.
That means that the famed device needs to receive the upgrade before the end of April if the company sticks to this earlier announcement.
Ice Cream Sandwich OS is currently available on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus that launched back in Nov. of last year. The software debuted on the device and is on only one percent of all Android devices at this time, according to the latest Google data, with Gingerbread and Froyo dominating the rest of the market.
