Samsung Galaxy S2 Release Date: Customers Express Outrage at AT&T on Facebook

Samsung's highly anticipated Galaxy S2 was supposed to be made available for AT&T customers on September 18, however, the network provider recently delayed the release without giving any information on when it would finally be releasing it.

Many customers have already begun to express discontent with AT&T at some of the company’s sales locations, and also on social networking sites such as Facebook.

Facebook users bashed AT&T via the Samsung Galaxy S2’s fan page on the social networking site after they were left without any information from the network provider on the device’s release.

“No news from AT&T…nor any kind of update,” wrote Karan Thakur on the page. “What’s wrong with them?”

Alec Garcia wrote “It appears the Sept. 18 release date for AT&T customers was a dirty little lie.”

Garcia followed that up with a very vulgar bashing of the company that robbed his chances of obtaining the phone on that date.

Srinath Senguttuvan also expressed his discontent in a vulgar manner with his post.

Karan Thakur replied to the posting telling Senguttuvan to have patience and that hopefully AT&T will launch the Galaxy S2 this week.

“Let’s hope man,” Senguttavan replied. “I woke up this morning ready to get a new phone and was disappointed. I want it this week.”

Samsung released the Galaxy S2 to go head-to-head with Apple's iPhone 5 which is rumored for release imminently.

AT&T is the original carrier of the iPhone and some analysts are suspecting that Apple may have something to do with the delay of the Android powered competitor.

The iPhone 5 is expected to be unveiled by Apple’s CEO Tim Cook at a media event on October 4.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 has already received rave reviews and has been released on Sprint as the Epic 4G Touch.
