Samsung Galaxy S2’s Camera Tested Against Galaxy Nexus
Technology website, Gizmocrunch recently compared the camera on the Galaxy S2 to the Galaxy Nexus’ rear shooter.
The Samsung Galaxy S2 camera is 8-megapixels on all versions of the smartphone, including the AT&T 4G LTE Skyrocket.
The Galaxy Nexus camera is only 5-megapixels.

This would lead the average smartphone user to believe that the S2 trumps the Galaxy Nexus as far as filming and taking pictures is concerned.
GizmoCrunch referred to technology website FreeYourAndroid, who recently took comparison shots to find what device has the better camera. The website found that the Samsung Galaxy S2 camera provides the photographer with sharper shots featuring more detail.
However, the colors were more precise on the Galaxy Nexus camera with the Galaxy S2 shots displaying colors that were more faded.
The front camera on the Samsung Galaxy S2 proved to be superior offering better quality with color, clarity and brightness.
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus debuted at the company’s joint event with Google called the “Mobile Unpacked” that took place last month.
The smartphone will be the first device running on the new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich software.
During the event, Google showed the device using a new feature called panorama that uses the smartphone’s camera to scan an entire area and compile a picture scaling down all that was included.
For example, a Galaxy Nexus owner can run their device across an entire table and the camera will compile a picture that will encompass everything that was scanned on the furniture.
This feature alone trumps the Galaxy S2; however, once the Ice Cream Sandwich update becomes available for Galaxy S2 owners, both smartphones will be even in this area.
