Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.2.2, JellyBean Update Rolling Out Next Month
Samsung plans to roll out an Android 4.2.2 update for the Galaxy S3 in the near future that will bring many of the Galaxy S4 features to its predecessor.
SamMobile stumbled upon a leaked version of the software and found that the Galaxy S3 will soon have new voice controls with S Voice, an enhanced lock screen experience, and additional screen modes.
Other features, such as the eye scrolling and air gesture technology, cannot be ported to the device as they are hardware related. The update is expected to start rolling out next month.

T-Mobile will ship an LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 starting on June 5, according to a recent report from TmoNews. This new T-Mobile version of the device will most likely cost around $99 down.
The Android 4.1.2, JellyBean update is now available for Samsung Galaxy S3 users on T-Mobile.
The 187MB update brings multi-window support to the device. Customers began receiving notifications to upgrade their software at 3 a.m. Monday morning.
One person who received it reported the addition of two new apps with it including Paper Artist and Group Play along with T-Mobile's new 4G logo.

The smartphones were certified to receive the software update this week. Preparing JellyBean to be released for those devices has been a bit of a process, as there were several setbacks postponing the date of certification.
JellyBean will bring some exciting new features to the Xperia line such as "TalkBack" and "Gesture Mode." "TalkBack" reads what is present on the screen to the user and "Gesture Mode" allows low vision or blind users of the device to navigate using touch and swipe gestures along with speech output.
The JellyBean firmware will also improve the overall performance of these Xperia devices, making movement between home screens and switching between apps much smoother.
