Samsung Galaxy S3 Launches in Korea With LTE and Quad-Core Chip Next Week
The most powerful smartphone of all time is scheduled to launch in Korea next week as Samsung will release the Galaxy S3 with both a quad-core chip and LTE in the country.
Other features on the Korean variant of the handset include S-Voice, LTE-support, Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of build-in storage, a battery with 2100mAh capacity, and a body that is slightly thicker than the international version.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 has launched in many countries throughout the world.
The smartphone is arguably Samsung's most impressive one to date, sporting a gorgeous 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display where users can multitask on a whole other level by texting and watching videos at the same time.
Thanks to Samsung's quad-core Exynos processor, the device is able to accomplish feats that no other smartphone has been able to do. However, that chip was removed from the U.S. version and replaced by the dual-core Snapdragon S4 chip in order to accommodate LTE networks.
This came as a disappointment to many Samsung fans anticipating the company's first true quad-core smartphone. Overseas, the Galaxy S3 packs a power punch unlike any other smartphone in the past and hopefully the U.S. version will match up despite the downgraded processor.
However, the true potential of the Galaxy S3 will not be seen until it is released in Korea.
Since the country is the home base of Samsung electronics, it seems like the ideal place to release the most powerful version of the smartphone.
And with Apple launching the new iPhone in the coming months, Samsung has been working hard to solidify its flagship smartphone's place in the market.
Can Apple's next-gen device stack up against this monster of a handset?
