Samsung Galaxy S3 Press Shot Leaks
An image of what could be the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3 began floating around Reddit earlier this week.
The picture of the device appeared to be a press shot, but could end up being just a mock-up created by a fan.
The issue with this picture is that there are some inconsistencies with the original leaked photos of the S3 and this new one, according to the Verge.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 could be launching as early as next month, according to Samsung Electronics China leader Kim Young-ha.
Kim stated that Samsung could end up pushing the release of the smartphone forward a month in order to increase the sales of Samsung devices.
"So that you can increase sales of the Galaxy S2 plus the Galaxy Note that is already very popular in China, the organization is considering rescheduling the rollout of the Galaxy S3 from May to April," said Kim at Samsung's annual Samsung Forum 2012 in Beijing, China.
In order for the device to launch in April, it would have to be unveiled by Samsung in the next few weeks.
Samsung could also be planning an early release to have its new device out before Apple launches the next generation iPhone.
Other sources including YouMobile and ZDNet have also reported that Samsung will release the Galaxy S3 sometime next month.
Industry insider Eldar Murtazin reported last week that Samsung was ready to put the handset into production and that demand from retailers is the highest it has ever been for a Galaxy device.
"SGS3 finalized and go to production," tweeted Murtazin. "Pre-orders from operators/retailers are really highest for all Galaxy line history (finally ceramic)."
He also alluded to the device sporting a ceramic body.
Rumored specifications for the Samsung Galaxy S3 include a 1080p, full high-definition Super AMOLED display, Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, a quad-core processor, wireless charging, an improved 8-megapixel rear camera and 4G LTE connectivity.
