Samsung Galaxy S3 Release Date Set for June 20 in Canada
The Samsung Galaxy S3 will be released in Canada on June 20, according to a leaked screenshot of an ad from the internal computer system of the company.
The screenshot shows an ad that could appear in a newspaper or magazine and it lists some of the major Canadian carriers stating that they will carry the phone and pre-order today. "Available June 20th" appears at the bottom.
Major Canadian carriers in the ad include Telus, Virgin Mobile, WIND, Videotron, SaskTel, Mobilicity and Rogers.
Samsung is also reportedly sending over a crew to Canadian retailers and carriers on May 30 for intensive training on the device.
Samsung officially launched its new Galaxy S3 smartphone in 28 countries around the world including the U.K., France, Europe, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Africa earlier this week.
Samsung has stated that it plans to launch the smartphone on 296 carriers in 145 countries by July.
The 16GB version was the first to be offered by the company and the 32GB and 64GB models are expected to arrive later on in the year.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 comes in both Pebble Blue and White.
The Pebble Blue version has experienced a slight delay in certain areas around the world including the U.K.
Retailer Clove UK recently told YouMobile.org that the white version of the handset will ship on June 1 while the Pebble Blue model will be shipped on June 5.
Samsung released a statement regarding the delay of the Pebble Blue version earlier today.
"Samsung's Galaxy S3 Pebble Blue version comes with a newly invented blue color and special hyper-glaze material," said Samsung. "In order to meet the highest internal quality standards and to provide the best quality Galaxy S2 to customers, a shot supply of Pebble Blue version is expected in some regions in the next 2-3 weeks."
