Samsung Galaxy S3 Release Date: Specs Leaked on Internal Presentation
The specs for the next Samsung Galaxy smartphone have surfaced on the internet in an internal presentation on “smartphone evolution,” which shows Samsung’s Galaxy S roadmap ending with the S3.
According to the presentation the Samsung Galaxy S3 is slated to be released sometime in 2012.
Some of its specs include a 4.6 SuperAMOLED Plus HD display, a dual-core 1.8 GHz Exynos 4212 processor, 2GB of RAM and a 12 megapixel camera.
The report also shows that the 3rd generation Galaxy smarthphone will be thinner and lighter than the Samsung Galaxy S2.
The upcoming device will also possess NFC and LTE capabilities and a W750 BSI CMOS camera sensor.
It will apparently keep its four hardware buttons, which wouldn’t be required for the Android Ice Cream Sandwich build it is expected to run.
However, the document which displays the timeline of the Samsung Galaxy smartphone could possibly be a fake. There is no actually way to confirm if it is real or not, according to 9to5Google.
The Galaxy S3 could be Samsung’s answer to the upcoming iPhone 5 which experts believe will hit stores sometime in 2012.
One of the main reasons Apple chose to release an iPhone 4S rather than iPhone 5 is because the company was not ready to put out a 4G LTE device.
Apple is probably waiting until the technology is perfected in order to launch the iPhone 5.
The Galaxy S3 and next iPhone will probably be similar in the features department.
A significant hardware upgrade would be required in both handsets in order for the smartphone makers to raise the bar.
