Samsung Galaxy S3 to Feature Human Interaction
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone is now rumored to feature Human Interaction.
By adding this technology to the phone, users will now be able to use the front-facing camera to keep track of where their eyes are pointed and the screen will lock when they are pointed away.
So any other person other than the user will not be able to use the smartphone depending on the settings chosen.
Human Interaction is similar to the facial recognition feature included on Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, however, this version seems to be a bit more sophisticated, taking note of the owner's eyes.
There also could be a power saving aspect involved in this feature that could drain less power by reverting to the lock screen once eye contact is lost.
However, none have this has been confirmed by Samsung.
The Korean Electronics giant sent out an invite to event this week called "Come and meet the next Galaxy" where the company is expected to unveil the Galaxy S3 device.
This event is set to take place on May 3 in London, England.
Samsung also stated that the Galaxy S3 launch and unveiling will take place close together. This means Galaxy fans should be able to get their hands on the smartphone sometime next month.
Inside sources recently confirmed to CNET that Samsung will have a 4.7-inch display on the Galaxy S3 with a five column UI, as opposed to the traditional 4 row UI featured on most Galaxy devices.
This will give it a 310ppi pixel density making it very close to the iPhone's retina display.
The Galaxy S3 was also confirmed to have the Exynos Quad-core 1.5GHz processing chip along with 1GB of RAM, according to YouMobile.
