The Galaxy S4 LTE-A comes equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC instead of the Snapdragon 600 that is found in the international model. Other than that the specs on both versions are the same. Both models feature a 5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED Display, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera, 32GB built-in memory, a microSD slot and an IR port.

The Korean market has been a hard one to break into for other smartphone makers. The only device that has had success in the country thus far is the iPhone. LG plans to launch an LTE Advanced device in the nation on August 7. Pantech will also be releasing an LTE-A device in the near future.

LTE Advanced is a form of 4G connectivity that provides users with super fast speeds and quick and efficient downloading. It was first submitted as a candidate for the 4G system to ITU-T in late 2009 and was approved into the International Telecommunications Union and finalized by 3GPP in March 2011. It is widely considered a major enhancement of LTE (Long Term Evolution) and was first implemented into devices in Oct. 2012 by the Russian network known as Yota.

Regular LTE provides users with speeds that are 10 times faster than 3G. The connectivity started to become mainstream in the U.S. in 2011 and now dominates the market with its inclusion in smartphones such as the Galaxy S4 and iPhone 5.
