Samsung Galaxy S6 Release Date: Launch Not Until March 2015?
Samsung is nearing its release of the Galaxy Note 4 but a lot of people are looking forward to the release of the next flagship phone from the Galaxy line. Although the Galaxy S6 is still a ways away, details about the phone has been slowly emerging as well as a few rumors.
With the International Franchise Association coming this Friday, consumers can expect a number of updates regarding the next Galaxy release.
Regarding the release of the Galaxy S6, Samsung has always been punctual with releases and since the Galaxy S2, the South Korean tech giant has always been releasing its flagship phones during or close to the Mobile World Congress.
MWC 2015 will be held between March 2 and 5 and it will be likely that the S6 would be released from there. As for the price, there are still no official announcements but speculation holds that the S6 will be priced just below the $1000 mark.
Samsung looks to be sticking with the super AMOLED screen for the S6 as there are no signs that the company would do otherwise. The screen's resolution will likely get an upgrade though as an S5 LTE-A with a 2560 x 1440 resolution has already been released in South Korea.
There are even speculations that Samsung might go straight ahead with 4K resolution displays. It is unknown whether they will be implementing the technology with the S6 but if they do so, an increase in processor speed will also be likely.
For a QHD display, the S6 would only need a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 but if Samsung pushes through with the 4K display, the S6 would likely need a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor.
