Samsung's Galaxy S8 is an eagerly anticipated device for many reasons, not the least of which is the possibility that the new flagship smartphone could boast some pretty impressive cameras.
Obviously, the official camera specs of the smartphone have not been revealed just yet, but there are some new details that have emerged recently that could be worth knowing for people planning to get this device.
The new camera details were shared by noted tipster "Ice universe" over on Twitter, and according to the tweet, the next Samsung flagship may come equipped with the Sony IMX333 sensor.

The tipster then added that the sensor will apparently provide 12.2 megapixels, but no other details were revealed.
Notably, it appears that the IMX333 is not even listed on Sony's website, according to a recent report from Droid Holic, so people looking forward to learning more about what it could bring to the Galaxy S8 may have to wait until the smartphone itself is officially revealed.
In related news, a report from WinFuture also contains several interesting details related to the S8, including ones specifically hinting at what the cameras of the smartphone may be capable of.
According to a translation of the report provided by BGR, the S8's primary camera could offer 12 megapixels and it may also feature 4K video recording as well as dual pixel autofocus among other notable capabilities.
As for the camera situated at the front of the device, this one will apparently provide eight megapixels and the addition of an autofocus feature may also enable it to work better in certain situations.
Smartphone shoppers likely will not have to wait for that much longer to hear more about the Galaxy S8 and its cameras as the device itself is expected to be present during Samsung's upcoming "Galaxy UNPACKED" event that will take place on March 29.
