Samsung Galaxy S9 News: New Reports Confirms Development and Possible Release Date
Samsung is now working hard to keep up the hype as rumors of the Samsung Galaxy S9 has begun circulating. Given the immense upgrade of the latest iPhone, reports have indicated that the South Korean company is determined to turn the tide of the competition in their favor.
According to Sammobile, Samsung has begun to develop the firmware for the upcoming Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. They were able to obtain version numbers of two models: G960FXXU0AQ15 and G965FXXU0AQ15.
The model numbers were also confirmed to be SM-G960 and SM-G965. Considering the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus were called SM-G950 and SM-G955 respectively. It seems that the tech giant will proceed to battle with iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and X in the upcoming additions to the lineup.
Although there is no official release date yet for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, reports indicate that the company might follow the same timeline that it developed for the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
Given that Samsung unveiled the S8 and S8 Plus during an event that was held in New York on March this year, they are likely to release the S9 and S9 Plus at around the same time. Furthermore, fans also believe that Samsung will begin shipping the new smartphones by April 2018.
So far, the details on the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus are scarce. Although this is understandable as they have just recently released the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, fans are expecting to have more information in the coming months, especially since they have begun developing the firmware for the smartphones. As to how the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will compete with the iPhone X, fans will have to wait and see.
