Samsung's new mid-range laptop is a hybrid that can be turned into a tablet with a few spins. The Notebook 7 Spin has premium specs at an affordable price that can be ideal for mid-range hunters.
Laptop-Tablet Hybrid Specs
The Notebook 7 Spin is designed to spin at 360 degrees. It is also compatible with the Continuum feature of Windows 10, allowing the display modes to adapt to the orientation of the device. Since the laptop is a tablet hybrid, it's touchscreen. Samsung's 7 Spin can also go to tent mode, which makes watching HDR quality videos possible.
The Samsung Notebook 7 Spin has an entry-level version with a starting price of $799.99 with premium specs for its price. The entry level is a 13.3-inch display with Intel Core i5 processor (6th generation), 8GB RAM, 1 TB Storage, a 1080p display with Intel HD Graphics 520. It weighs around 4 pounds.
The next version costs $999.99 and is a bigger variation with a 15.6-inch display, 1080p and approximately weighs 5 pounds. The processor is slightly better with an Intel Core i7 (6th generation) and GeForce 940MX graphics. It has 12GB RAM and 1TB storage.
The 13-inch and 15-inch variations have a quick-charge feature. This means that 20 minutes of plug-in time is equal to two hours of battery life. The 13-inch can be fully charged in just 100 minutes, while the 15-inch version can be full at just 90 minutes.
The most expensive version is priced at $1,199. The only distinctive difference between the middle one and this one is the 16GB RAM. All versions have a USB-C port, USB 3.0 port and two USB 2.0 ports. It also has a section for an Ethernet connection, an HDMI cable and a slot for an SD-card reader.
