Samsung Sends Out Invites to Event, Possible Unveiling of New Ice Cream Sandwich Devices
Samsung recently sent out invitations to a press event that will be held on March 22 in France that could possibly be for the unveiling of some new Ice Cream Sandwich powered devices.
The company sent the invites out to several French Android blogs earlier this month for the event is set to take place just weeks after this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC).
Samsung fans that were expecting the Galaxy S3's unveiling to take place at MWC were left disappointed when the company announced that it would wait until later on in the year to launch the new device and that it wants the unveiling to be closer to the release date. The Galaxy S2 was unveiled at last year's MWC, but was not made available until almost six months after in some areas.

However, there could be other devices on the way. Earlier this month a picture of a handset reportedly running on Ice Cream Sandwich began circulating around the internet with a message attached to it pointing to an unveiling in Barcelona. This lead most tech blogs to believe that this unknown smartphone will probably make an appearance at MWC.
The initial launch for this mystery device could be taking place at MWC and this separate French event could end up being aimed more toward a regional launch.
Samsung created the Galaxy Nexus smartphone that is currently the only handset that comes with Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich pre-installed.
The company's other leading Android devices such as the Galaxy Note and Galaxy S2 are expected to upgrade to Android 4.0 within the next two months.
This new device could possibly be a variant of one of Samsung's popular smartphones that will specifically include the new operating system.
