Samsung to Release Dual-SIM Galaxy Core Smartphone
Samsung will be introducing its Dual-SIM Galaxy Core I8262 in the very near future.
Specifications for this smartphone leaked around 2 months ago and now it appears that the company is finally ready to launch the device, according to YouMobile. The Galaxy Core is much different from the Mega series the company prepares to release in May.
The device is rumored to feature a dual-core processor at 1.2GHz. An older video from Pastimers shows more of the leaked specifications for the Galaxy Core. The video points to the device having a 4.3-inch display, and having a blue outer shell.
A Russian site known as Hi-Tech.ru claims to have information on the smartphone's release date in their country. If their date is correct, the device should begin launching in the rest of the world shortly after.
The Dual-SIM feature is an interesting concept and is something Samsung also tried out when it launched the Galaxy Grand last year. The capability allows the owner of the smartphone to use two separate phone numbers at the same time while operating the phone.
"For the dual SIM version, its innovative dual SIM feature provides total communication flexibility, allowing users to manage two phone numbers from a single phone," said Samsung regarding the Grand. "It is possible to receive calls on one SIM number while taking a call from the other ensuring efficient management of personal and work commitments without ever missing a call."
Dual-SIM also helps out customers looking to take advantage of different plans on different carriers simultaneously giving them the ability to combine the best possible phone and data plans from different companies.
Other specifications on the Galaxy Grand include a 2-megapixel front camera, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, Bluetooth 4.0, and 1GB RAM.
