'Samurai Warriors 4 Empires' Gets a US & Europe Release Date, Available on PlayStation Platforms

Players from the western regions who have been waiting for the second expansion "Samurai Warriors 4: Empires" can now finally get their hands on the game as latest reports say that a release date has been announced already.

According to PlayStation Lifestyle, publisher Koei Tecmo revealed that the hack and slash video game is scheduled to be released in Europe on March 11, 2016, while it will arrive in North America a few days after, March 15, 2016. The source also noted that the game will available for the PlayStation platforms only including PS4, PS3 and PS Vita.

To those who don't know about the game yet, Power Up Gaming detailed that "Empires" is a "strategy-driven offshoot of hack-and-slash title "Samurai Warriors 4." It is known to be the first title in the spinoff series after the 2007 game for PS2 "Samurai Warriors 2: Empires" arrived. It basically expands on the events of the fourth installment of the franchise and centralizes on strategy. Starting at the bottom of the rank, gamers will need to play their way to the top with the aim of becoming the ruler of the entire land through conquests.

Twinfinite also reported that the game is pretty much the same with "Samura Warriors 4" that people love. The difference is that there will be a diverse kind of mechanics included, giving it more kingdom cultivation. Tecmo stated that historical landscape will be used as a setting to bring a stimulating strategy-focused game.

In this upcoming version, gamers can expect that there will a better battle gameplay. During battles, giving direct order to every ally on the field can be possible. An expanded intuitive governing system will also be featured. They can also venture into the effects of building in-depth relationships and alliances. And as shown in the announcement trailer, the element of politics and drama will also be there alongside battles.
