San Antonio Spurs vs. Utah Jazz Preview: Second-Seeded Spurs Eyeing To Extend Win Streak Versus Eight-Seeded Jazz

The streaking San Antonio Spurs are out to extend their winning ways as they face the number eight-ranked Utah Jazz.

The fourth game for the 2015-2016 NBA regular season will be taking place on April 5th, at the Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City.

In all three games between the two teams this season, coach Gregg Popovich and his wards have come out victorious. Their first encounter last December 14th in San Antonio had the Spurs winning big, with a final score of 118-81.

In the said game, forward Kawhi Leonard was the main contributor for the Spurs, scoring 22 points along with seven rebounds, two assists and two steals, shooting 7 out of 10 from the field, through 24 minutes of playing time. Veteran point guard Tony Parker also put up significant numbers, dropping 18 points and five assists, shooting 7 out of 9 from the field, through 21 minutes of playing time.

The second game last January 6th in San Antonio saw the Spurs winning by a double-digit margin once again, ending the night with a final score of 123-98. This time around, it was veteran big man Tim Duncan who was the night's top scorer, dropping 18 points, along with eight rebounds and six assists, shooting 8 out of 13 from the field, through 25 minutes of playing time.

Leonard also made big contributions, scoring 15 points, along with four rebounds, three assist, and two steals, shooting 6 out of 11 from the field, through 23 minutes of playing time.

The third game held on February 25th was held in Utah, but the outcome remained the same. The Spurs still emerged victorious via an 18-point margin with a final score of 96-78.

In the said contest, Kawhi Leonard was once again the star of the night, dropping 29 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals, shooting 10 out of 15 from the field, through 35 minutes of playing time.

The Spurs currently hold a record of 64-12, while the Jazz banner a 39-38 win-loss slate.
