Sarah Palin Criticizes Obama's Holiday Card

Former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is not happy with the White House Christmas card, according to Fox News Radio.

"It's odd," Palin told Fox, questioning why the president's Holiday card features his dog, Bo, rather than the holiday traditions of "family, faith and freedom."

The front of the card shows the first family’s dog lying in a festive sitting room before a wreath-adorned fireplace.

The inside of the card, which is signed by the Obamas, reads: "From our family to yours, may your holidays shine with the light of the season."

"Even stranger than that was his first year in office when the Christmas ornaments included Chairman Mao," Palin told Fox Radio. "People had to ask that it be removed because it was offensive."

Palin was referring to an ornament posted by a right-wing blog in 2009 with "Mao,” a portrait by Andy Warhol, on it. The blog alleged that the ornament was on the Obamas’ Christmas tree, but Media Matters later reported that the tree was actually decorated by community groups, not the White House.

According to the Fox Radio article, Palin said most Americans prefer "American foundational values illustrated and displayed on Christmas cards and on a Christmas tree."

On Monday, Palin sparked speculation on whether or not she would enter the 2012 presidential race when she appeared on Fox Business Network.

“It's not too late for folks to jump in," Palin said. “Who knows what will happen in the future?”

Palin told Fox she has not yet endorsed any Republican presidential candidate for 2012 because she still lacks confidence in most of them.
