Tuesday morning's Today Show began with Sarah Palin sitting on the set's white couch with a stack of newspapers, while she appeared to read one of them. The scene played on the 2008 interview in which Katie Couric, the former Today host, stumped Palin when she asked her which newspapers she read. Palin's campaign took a hard hit following the interview.

However four years after the interview Palin has found herself sitting in the same studio that Couric once occupied, seated next to co-host Matt Lauer.

"I see she's doing her homework," Lauer commented, referring to the papers surrounding Palin. The day before Lauer had called Palin in jest, asking if she'd be reading some newspapers to prepare for the show.

Palin wasn't all fun and games however, and vocalized her opinion about the Obama administration during her interview with Lauer.

"Anybody but Obama. I honestly believe that anybody running on that GOP ticket would be infinitely better than what we have today," Palin remarked when asked if she was happy about Mitt Romney as a candidate.

Palin also criticized Obama's handling of economic issues: "We still have fewer jobs today than when Barack Obama took over."

The former vice-presidential nominee is of course, no stranger to criticism. She was recently portrayed in the film "Game Changer" to which she gave Julianne Moore, the actress who plays her, a thumbs down review. Although she said she refused to watch the film, she insisted that it was a "narrative of false lies."

Despite the fame surrounding her name however, it appears Palin isn't always recognizable in public. Palin revealed that she had visited Rockefeller Plaza Monday, and was confused for an actress.

"I told you Tina Fey is here!" Palin recalled a person saying outside the studio the day before. Despite her dislike of Moore, Palin admitted that Tina Fey, who is famous for her impersonation of her, was very "clever."
