Savannah Guthrie Red Hair: "Today" Anchor Talks New Hair, Wanting Kids (PHOTO,VIDEO)

"Today Show" co-anchor Savannah Guthrie unveiled red hot hair Thursday on live television. Just a year after accepting a position on the show, Guthrie appears to have her life in order.

Savannah Guthrie swapped out her honey blonde locks for a more eye catching color recently and debuted her new look Thursday morning on the "Today Show." Guthrie was named co-anchor of the show last June following the fall out with Ann Curry.

"I went red," she said Thursday about her shoulder-length hairstyle. "It's my natural color-not!"

After divorcing BBC News presenter Mark Orchard in 2009, Guthrie announced in May that she is engaged to be married to Democratic political and communications consultant Michael Feldman. Guthrie, 41, recently sat down with Elle magazine to talk about her future plans with Feldman and whether she had any desire to have kids.

"I would love to have kids," she told the magazine. "I hope so, if we're lucky and blessed, but who knows what life holds, you know? I'm 41 years old."

Guthrie debuted on the "Today" show during a trying time when numerous rumors about tensions between Ann Curry, Matt Lauer, and "Today" show producers had surfaced. Despite those rumors, and the loss of viewers over them, Guthrie suggested that there is an "intimate" connection between the cast and the people who tune in to the show.

"We have a very intimate connection with the audience because of the hour and because of the kind of show it is," she told Elle. "I am truly touched by [the devotion of the audience.] It's kind of moving, if you think about it."

When asked about her success, Lauer told the magazine that Guthrie was a combination of hit personalities.

"She's real, she's smart, she's funny, she's self-deprecating, she's interested in a huge variety of subjects, she turns on a dime beautifully, she is curious, she's personable, she warms people up in a hurry, she kind of explodes on-screen. I mean, if you look back over the years at the people who have been successful in morning TV, she's kind of the combination of all of them," he explained.
