'Scandal' Season 3 Spoilers: 'Second Half of Season 3 Is Better Than First Half,' Says Tony Goldwyn
"Scandal" returns to ABC with brand-new episodes tonight and fans are wondering what is in store as Season 3 continues.
After a two-month hiatus, "Scandal" fans are clamoring for details on the upcoming premiere of part 2 of Season 3.
Ahead of the episode on Thursday, Feb. 27, one of its stars Tony Goldwyn has revealed a number of spoilers about the series, which will give fans an insight into what's in store.
The actor portrays the U.S. President, who is stuck in a love triangle between his wife, First Lady Mellie Grant (portrayed by Bellamy Young), and Olivia Pope (portrayed by Kerry Washington).
"I'm not allowed to say anything, but I can tell you that the second half of the season is better than the first," Goldwyn told Us Weekly.
"[Creator] Shonda Rimes always surprises me," he added. "It's such a roller coaster ride."
Furthermore, Young offered her take on the upcoming third season of "Scandal," shedding light on the love triangle plaguing her character.
"It grows more intense and more stuff happens with every episode," Young told the Associated Press of the triangular love dynamic on the show. "And we talks faster! Off-camera, they're shouting, 'Scandal-pace' at us because they write these long, intricate scripts, and we have to get it all in."
Previously released spoilers include Life & Style's report that Washington's character Olivia is in for some shocking realizations about her past.
"When this wonderfully addictive drama returns for its spring premiere, Olivia is realizing that her lifelong view of her parents might be awfully twisted," the magazine reported. "And she's facing a shocking announcement for the vice president."
However, the rest of the "Scandal" cast has been very tight-lipped about the series, and so fans must tune in to the show tonight on ABC. The season premiere episode is entitled "Ride, Sally, Ride." The synopsis is as follows: "Sally delivers shocking news, which rocks the White House. Meanwhile, Olivia tackled a demanding new role."
