'Scandal' Season 4 Plot Spoilers: Episode 4 Recap 'Like Father Like Daughter,' Episode 5 Plot Revealed
"Scandal" didn't hold back on the shocking moments in its Oct. 16 episode titled "Like Father Like Daughter." The episode showed Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) back in fighting form and totally in her element as she dealt with an extortionist, and Olivia and Fitz shared an intense moment.
Jake was at Olivia's place and just as they were starting to catch up on each other's day, Olivia was called away. Olivia and Quinn went to a rave, where they found the President's daughter, Karen, naked and vomiting. Olivia took charge of the situation and called Huck and Cyrus for help. Huck used his tech skills to disable everyone's phones, so no one was able to take pictures as Olivia and Quinn carried Karen to a waiting helicopter.
As they were heading to the White House, Karen got a video of her having sex with two boys. She admitted to Olivia and her father that she did smoke week and drank, but she was not raped. One of the boys had the video, and Olivia vowed that she will find him and she will deal with the situation.
Meanwhile, Agent Tom and Rowan are having a serious talk wherein Rowan wants Jake gone. But then, Jake knew all about it and confronted Tom about killing Jerry, but he still wanted to protect Tom because he wanted Rowan punished.
Olivia and her team were able to track down the boy who had the sex tape, but his parents wanted $2.5 million in exchange for it. Olivia told Fitz to take the deal. Later, Fitz implored her not to leave him again, and they shared a kiss. But later, she admitted that she went away with Jake.
Then, Jake was about to tell Fitz about Rowan, but Fitz didn't want to hear him out. Tom was interrogated by a detective as Fitz and Cyrus watched. Then, Rowan walked in.
Rowan had the evidence of Tom killing Jerry. When asked who gave Tom the orders to do so, he said, "Jake Ballard. Ballard gave me the order."
This does not look good for Jake. Fitz has all his reasons for getting rid of him — first Olivia, and now, he thinks that Jake killed his son.
Next week's episode, "The Key," has this premise:
"Olivia and the team continue to investigate Catherine's case, but Olivia is distracted when Jake stops returning her calls. Meanwhile, Cyrus falls deeper into the rabbit hole with Michael, David realizes what it's like to finally be a winner in DC and Fitz seeks answers to Jerry's death," the synopsis reads.
Watch "Scandal" on Thursdays at 9/8c on ABC.
