'Scandal' Season 5 Spoilers: President Fitz Learns Who Leaked His Intimate Photos
"Scandal" Season 5 premiered last Thursday with an intimate moment between Olivia and the President, with someone leaking images of their secret meet-up.
When "Scandal" Season 5 Episode 2 premieres this week, the fallout from Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and President Fitz's (Tony Goldwyn's) tryst will have resulted in an elicit video, which continues from the end of Episode 1, "Heavy is the Head," when VP Langston (Kate Burton) revealed someone had leaked images from footage of his and Olivia's intimate moment.
Episode 2, "Yes," will see the President finally find out the person responsible for releasing those photos.
Speculations run rife as to whether the recently fired Cyrus Beene (Jeff Perry) or Elizabeth North (Portia de Rossi) may have been behind the leaks. Other rumors point toward Jake Ballard (Scott Foley), who may have told his people in the White House to blab about Olivia and Fitz's tryst.
In the aftermath of the scandal, "Yes" will see Olivia and the President take great pains to keep away from each other, even after it looked like they were going to make their relationship official in Season 4's finale.
Olivia will be leaving Washington to work on a new case, keeping distance from the President for damage control.
Meanwhile, Huck (Guillermo Diaz) is rumored to be coming closer to his demise in Season 5, perhaps even under Quinn's (Katie Lowes) hands, even as he returns to the pressures of his job this season.
Abby (Darby Stanchfield) will also be getting some unprecedented advice from a "master of damage control" as she struggles to maintain her equilibrium with all the scandals happening in the White House.
Jake, who was last seen in the previous episode, is slated to make his return, pinpointing him as another suspect to have leaked the photos.
"Scandal" Season 5, Episode 2 returns to ABC on October 1, Thursday at 9pm ET.
