Scarlett Johansson and Rude People, Fans

Actress Scarlett Johansson has admitted being surprised over how her fans behave when in her presence.

The star of this summer's most anticipated film "The Avengers" explained that some people just did not have good manners.

"I'm constantly surprised by how rude people are," the 27-year-old told the U.K.'s Independent. "You'll be having an intimate dinner with a friend and there's somebody on the table behind with a camera phone pointing at your face."

Johansson is sensitive to the issue after she was recently involved in a scandal involving smartphone photos that were hacked from her email account and published online.

"I think, 'I would never take a photo of someone without asking,'" said the actress.

In theaters May 4, "The Avengers" sees Johansson portray Black Widow. Despite her celebrity, the New York native admits she feels no compulsion to change who she is.

"I just feel pressure to show up to work on time," said Johansson, according to the Independent. "I don't feel like I have to be a certain way."

Other victims of the phone hacking scandal included Paris Hilton, Mila Kunis, Miley Cyrus, Jessica Alba, Selena Gomez, and several others.

The man behind the celebrity hackings was Christopher Chaney, 35, of Jacksonville, Fla. He did it for the thrill, according to the FBI.

The invasion of privacy that accompanies celebrity, via the internet or in person, has Johansson weary of social networking sites. The actress revealed she has no use for such sites while speaking to Interview magazine last year.

"I don't have Facebook or a Twitter account, and I don't know how I feel about this idea of, 'Now, I'm eating dinner, and I want everyone to know that I'm having dinner at this time,' or 'I just mailed a letter and dropped off my kids,'" said Johansson. "That, to me, is a very strange phenomenon. I can't think of anything I'd rather do less than have to continuously share details of my everyday life."
