Scarlett Johansson Leaked Photos 2011: FBI Arrests Hacker
The hacker allegedly responsible for Scarlett Johansson's leaked nude photos was arrested Wednesday by the FBI.
Christopher Chaney of Jacksonville, Florida, was arrested at his home and is accused of hacking into computer accounts and other devices of more than 50 people, among them Mila Kunis, Christina Aguilera and Renee Olstead, according to the FBI.
The hacks resulted in nude photos of Johansson and Kunis being leaked last month. Pictures of Justin Timberlake also surfaced, one with him wearing pink panties over his head. Timberlake told reporters another more graphic photo is not of him, TMZ reported.
Steven Martinez, assistant director in charge of the FBI's Los Angeles field office said, "The Hackers are very, very sophisticated...It is a constant cat-and-mouse game."
Chaney hacked into his victims' email accounts and forwarded them to his own account, then immediately supplied the images to celebrity websites, according to the indictment.
The 35-year-old "also took identity information, movie scripts and conversations that the celebrities believed to be private," U.S. Attorney Andre Birotte Jr. told reporters today.
The arrest ends an 11-month investigation by the FBI cybercrimes squad.
The man who has been accused of terrorizing Hollywood over the last year faces 121 years in prison if found guilty on all accounts.
