In the next episode of "Scorpion" entitled "Robots," the official synopsis reads, "Walter, Cabe, and Happy become trapped in a top-secret submarine with a limited oxygen supply and the potential to self-destruct after an explosion propels it to the bottom of the ocean."
In the preview for the episode, it seems that the deputy director of homeland security will be making an appearance as three members of team scorpion become trapped underwater, while the rest of the team worry on land. The team's mission will be taking place underwater on a submarine.

The previous episode began inside a prison where a guard found a dead inmate who was a criminal informant. Meanwhile, Walter was doing community service alongside a man named Ray, who was trying to be friendly.
Sylvester hung out with Megan and he was going to tell her how he felt when his phone rang and his presence was needed back at the garage. At the garage, Toby overheard Happy as she made plans while Ralph was doing someone else's homework.
Molina arrived and introduced warden Jadlow to the team. A prison gang had killed a criminal informant and they were going to kill three more judges aside from the one they already killed. But the information was in code inside the prison library. They needed someone to go undercover.
Sylvester went undercover inside the prison and he discovered the code inside the library. He got into trouble and he got a death threat from the gang. The team needed to break him out before he actually got killed for real. Walter went to Ray for some help.
In the end, the team managed to save the judges and Sylvester. Sylvester told Megan how she felt and discovered that she felt the same way. Ralph had been offered scholarships to major universities already. Cabe taught Toby how to punch properly, while Walter hung out with Ray.
